Dave Benson - Web ArchitectDave Benson brings a unique combination of business and computing skills to the task of building your business through the internet. Dave has over thirty years experience in using computers to enhance business profitability. He designed and programmed Woolworths’ first successful computerised stock control system and implemented one of Australia’s first direct data entry systems. Whilst a Director of Revlon Australia, Dave was responsible for the design and implementation of computerised sales management and marketing systems to support the field sales force. During the 1980’s Dave ran his own consulting business and had a small software house. His company also sold computer hardware & software, and operated a successful telemarketing business. Dave was President of SBP Manly-Warringah Inc for a number of years and has a deep understanding of the issues faced by small business. During the 1990’s, whilst Logistics Director for Alcatel Australia, Dave was a pioneer of EDI, the forerunner of today’s internet ecommerce systems, and worked closely with Telstra to promote this across Australia. As Alcatel’s Chief Information Officer in the early 2000’s, Dave was responsible for the development and implementation of very sophisticated web sites across Asia Pacific, both internet and intranet.. Dave has addressed prestigious organizations like Intel and Microsoft and has been featured in articles in Business Review Weekly and CIO Magazine. Dave has been a Keynote Speaker for many professional organizations including the Australian & Singapore Institutes of Management and has lectured in Management at the North Sydney College of TAFE.
